Roger I. E. St. Hilaire, CGEIT

Hi, I am Roger St. Hilaire, an I.T. governance and management practitioner with many years of experience at international, regional and local organisations. These organizations have utilized and helped further develop some of my key attributes:-

o   International certification in I.T. governance and management

o   Strong skills in training and leadership.

o   Committed to excellence in performance and quality, especially in a team and project based environment.

o   Sound analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

o   Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

o   Ability to interact positively with individuals of varying ages, cultures and backgrounds.

o   Strategic and proactive thinking and planning.

I have provided development, leadership, and assessment services to international, regional as well as local organizations. One of the key services I provide is the IT Governance Assessment listed below:

IT Governance Assessment and Implementation includes the following:

  • Development of an IT Governance Framework
  • Strategic Alignment
  • Determination of IT Value
  • IT Risk Assessment and Mitigation
  • Resource Assessment and Alignment
  • Performance Baseline establishment and  Measurement

These services are implemented using the most current Control Objectives for Information and related Technology (COBIT) framework.

COBIT is a set of best practices (framework) for information technology (IT) management created by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and the IT Governance Institute (ITGI).

COBIT provides managers, auditors, and IT users with an international set of generally accepted information technology control objectives and best practices for day-to-day use. These control objectives assist them in maximizing the benefits derived through the use of information technology and developing appropriate IT governance and control in a company. This helps them understand their IT systems and decide the level of security and control that is necessary to protect their companies’ assets through the development of an IT governance model.
